Ode to Ospreys
Presented by Gina Purtell, Director of Community Engagement WRWA
Location: Westport Library - 408 Old County Rd. Westport

For many years, Ode to an Osprey was hosted by Mass Audubon, bringing the community together to celebrate one of the South Coast’s most iconic birds. This year, the tradition continues with the Westport River Watershed Alliance as WRWA hosts Ode to an Osprey and carries forward the celebration of these remarkable birds and the people working to understand and protect them.
Join us for an evening dedicated to the osprey, exploring their extraordinary lives, seasonal journeys, and deep connection to the Westport River and the wider coastal landscape. Through stories, science, and community, Ode to an Osprey celebrates the return of a familiar local tradition while beginning an exciting new chapter at WRWA.
