Rhode Island-based Ampersand Creative Co. is bringing The Good Trade Makers Market back to WaterFire Arts Center in Providence for its sixth consecutive year on November 21 st and 22 nd , 2026. Attendees can kick-off the holiday shopping season with nearly 100 independent makers offering home decor, art, gourmet food items, apothecary products, apparel, accessories, jewelry, and much more. This year’s lineup includes small businesses from Rhode Island and ten other states.
“We’re really proud that The Good Trade has become a holiday shopping tradition here in Providence,” says BJ Mansuetti, co-owner of Ampersand Creative Co. “But what means the most to us is watching passionate small business owners from all over the country be embraced and supported so enthusiastically by our community.”
What sets The Good Trade apart is its commitment to building community across state lines while helping small businesses grow and reach new audiences. About half of the participating businesses are from Rhode Island, while others will travel from throughout New England, as well as New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and more.
In 2022, The Good Trade expanded to Burlington, Vermont, creating an opportunity for local Rhode Island businesses to shift from hosts to guests with the chance to pop-up and grow in a new city. By building a growing network of small business owners and supporters, The Good Trade Makers Market creates opportunities for collaboration, new sales avenues, and meaningful connections between makers and shoppers who may otherwise never cross paths.
“One of the hardest hurdles for any small business is growing beyond its immediate community,” says co-owner Robin Dionne. “With The Good Trade, we’re able to celebrate beloved local businesses while also giving Rhode Island shoppers the chance to discover and support makers they might never encounter otherwise. Then, just a couple of weeks later, we get to introduce many of those Rhode Island businesses to shoppers in Vermont. It creates a really meaningful exchange between the two communities.”
The Good Trade will once again feature its popular “Plinko for a Cause” game, an interactive fundraiser where shoppers can donate $5 to charity to play for a chance to win prizes provided by The Good Trade and participating vendors. This year, 100% of the funds donated will benefit Project Weber/RENEW, a Providence-based non-profit organization that offers peer-led harm reduction and recovery services.
Advance tickets are available now for $8 online and $10 at the door. Admission includes a drink ticket redeemable for a small beverage from participating beverage sponsors or a discount on a full-sized beverage.
