IEW- Rhody Abroad: Student Stories

About this event

This student-led panel will highlight firsthand experiences from students who have participated in our featured Rhody Abroad programs in Ireland, South Korea, Spain, and Costa Rica. We hope to give prospective study abroad students an opportunity to hear directly from their peers, learn what the experience is really like, and feel inspired and prepared to pursue an international experience of their own in these locations.

About the Session

During the panel, student representatives from each featured destination will share their personal experiences, including:

• Choosing a program and preparing to go abroad.

• Adjusting to a new culture and making connections.

• Navigating academics and everyday life in another country.

• Highlights, challenges, and unexpected lessons learned along the way.

• Practical advice about finances, travel, and making the most of a study abroad experience.
