- ➤ On Saturday, Middletown Fire Department responded at 10:05 a.m. after 911 calls reported an individual in distress near Purgatory Chasm — the team used technical rope and water rescue techniques as the victim was transported to Newport Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. What's Up Newp
