In February, a powerful blizzard hit local farms in Warren, causing heavy snow to damage greenhouses and delay planting.

One farm may face up to $90,000 in repairs and lost crops, while a local GoFundMe has raised over $18,000 to aid recovery.

Rapid snow removal was bolstered Saturday when RIDOT deployed an industrial snow blower and dump trucks to clear key streets ahead of Monday reopenings, which will include City Hall and schools.
