- ➤ U.S. Census Bureau data shows that between July 2024 and July 2025 Rhode Island lost 1,551 residents to other states (while growing by 4,106 thanks to international migration and births), pointing to ongoing population trends. The Newport Daily News

- ➤ Pat Lyons, a Rhode Island native and La Salle alum, was named URI’s new Vice President and Director of Athletics at the Ryan Center on Wednesday morning.
