- ➤ Tiverton officially appointed Patrick Jones as town administrator after he served as interim police chief and acting police chief James Costa was sworn in on April 9th while former councilor Mike Burk returned to the Town Council on April 7th following Blake Hayden’s resignation. Jones signed a tentative three-year contract with a starting salary of $165,000 that will rise to $175,000 if he successfully passes his probation period ending June 4th. The Newport Daily News
