- ➤ The 40th Annual Aquidneck Island Police Parade will be held tomorrow to honor three fallen New England Police Officers from 2024—Robert E. Kenahan, the oldest living retired Rhode Island State Trooper, serves as Grand Marshal. - ➤ The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has published its lane closure schedule for May 4—10, with Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge closing lanes on May 5, 8, and 9 at 7 am to 3 pm and on May 5 and 9 at 9 am to 3 pm, while the Route 138 Connector will close both directions on May 4 from 7 am to 3 pm.
