The MLK Center announced on May 14 that its Produce to the People program has expanded to offer free fresh produce at four Newport locations.

It now runs at the Center on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. — at Park Holm Senior Center on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. — and seasonally at Oxbow Farms on Wednesdays and Donovan Manor on Fridays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Aquidneck Community Table announced today a $150,000 grant from 11th Hour Racing to boost local food access and garden programs on Aquidneck Island—supporting initiatives in Newport’s North End.
