Air quality was worst on the immediate coastline in the late afternoon — the unhealthy ozone levels may cause throat irritation, cough, and shortness of breath, so residents were advised to reduce heavy outdoor activity. - ➤ Rhode Island lawmakers approved a bill on Friday that bans the sale and manufacturing of many semiautomatic rifles—often called assault weapons—while the law does not prohibit possession. Gov.
