Teams of military parachute jumpers participated in the Rhode Island National Guard’s Leapfest in Exeter on Saturday (one jumper landed in a neighbor’s pool) as the contest continues today with the winning team to be announced Monday.

The Newport Jazz Festival opened Friday at Fort Adams State Park with Local Jam, Braxton Cook, Vulfpeck, Little Simz, and Robert Glasper performing across four stages; today, the festival continues with acts including Kamasi Washington and Jonathan Batiste Trios.
The event offers a full day of jazz on multiple stages.
