  • Mount Hope Bridge reopened to traffic Saturday after its resurfacing was finished more than 33 hours early, and the first vehicles crossed shortly after 7:30 p.m.—RITBA credited the efficient work crew and beautiful weather for the speedy finish.  What's Up Newp

HEALTH NEWS

  • Last month, Wood River Health announced a breach that affected nearly 55,000 patients in Rhode Island and Connecticut, and cybersecurity expert Lee Kim advised patients to use multifactor authentication, strong passwords, and to check their insurance bills for unusual charges. He said providers must upgrade their security and train staff to help prevent future attacks—steps that could reduce exposure to hackers.  The Public's Radio
