  • Grammy-winning songwriter Lori McKenna performed in a sold-out show at Jane Pickens Theater in Newport—she was joined by longtime collaborator Mark Erelli on guitar and vocals. She will perform in Plymouth and Rockport on September 18th and 19th.  What's Up Newp

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Developers of the Middletown Town Center project seek Town Council approval for a zoning overlay that would allow mixed uses — hotel, bank, retail and apartments — while residents oppose relocating Pottsy Field. Town Council will hold hearings on Sept 16 and Sept 30 at 6 p.m. in Middletown High School’s cafetorium to decide if the approval will let design and engineering plans begin.  The Newport Daily News
