Newport Restoration Foundation held its 19th Annual Doris Duke Historic Preservation Awards on Thursday—honoring Hope Street Barn, Honeysuckle Carriage House, Ochre Court’s Cignaroli Ceiling Painting and OVERLAP Gallery—in a sold-out ceremony at Rough Point.

It selected the projects from a record number of nominees in collaboration with the City of Newport and exceeded its fundraising goal to support further restoration efforts.

Newport native Tanya Donelly led her alternative rock band Belly in a sold-out show at the Greenwich Odeum on September 18—playing their 1993 album 'King' in its entirety for the first time.

The performance was part of Belly’s anniversary tour that will include UK dates and more U.S. shows later this fall.

Sixty-eight open houses were held across Newport County on Saturday and continue today, giving buyers the chance to tour diverse homes from coastal condos to classic colonials in Jamestown, Newport, and Portsmouth—highlighting a balanced market with many active listings.
