Practical AI: Using Gemini's "Deep Research" to Contextualize your Research Project

About this event

Join us for a hands-on workshop introducing Google Gemini's "Deep Research" as a tool of contextualizing your research project. This workshop will begin with a brief overview of what generative AI is and what it is not. We will then discuss the usefulness of reference sources as a starting place for academic research. Following these foundational matters, we will have a hands-on activity where we use Gemini to generate custom reference sources with a key eye to the affordances and liabilities of the platform.
