- ➤ The Nine Central Film Festival will return Oct. 3-4 at the Jane Pickens Film and Event Center for its seventh year—featuring 10–15 short films each night from local filmmakers. Tickets cost $28.33 per night and the complete lineups will be announced two weeks before the event. What's Up Newp

- ➤ A federal judge ruled on Monday that construction of the nearly complete offshore wind farm Revolution Wind near Rhode Island could resume after a stop-work order halted work since Aug. 22—stating the government's action was arbitrary due to a lack of solid reasons.
